Topic: Ohio EPA Hazardous Waste Rules and Common Violations
Presented by: Dave Rice, Founder & Principal Consultant | Rubicon EHS
Dave has more than seventeen years of experience in environmental, health and safety
consulting, management, and oversight. In January 2021, he founded Rubicon EHS to explore
new opportunities working with like minded business owners to meet and achieve their EHS
obligations and goals.
Dave has spent much of the past sixteen years providing assistance to a variety of industrial
clients in handling their regulatory compliance responsibilities including but not limited to
environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance servicing, reporting, auditing, and
management; environmental management system (EMS) and ISO 14001 development,
implementation, and maintenance; industrial hygiene investigation and monitoring; hazardous
materials management; Process Safety Management (PSM); facility decontamination and closure;
subsurface investigations; Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); and, remediation system
operations and maintenance. Through this work he has developed extensive experience in
addressing a variety of EHS compliance aspects while working with and on behalf of clients.
Dave frequently is asked to present on a variety of EHS topics including but not limited to
regulatory compliance, sustainability, waste management, and industrial safety. Dave has
presented at the Ohio Safety Congress, Industrial Lubricants Manufacture's Association (ILMA)
Global Harmonization Seminar; the Madison County (OH) Safety Council; the Black Swamp
Safety Council’s Safety and Health Day; and, was interviewed as part of an article which
appeared in the August 2012 edition of Distributor Focus (Penton MSC).
