Topic: Summer Weather Safety
Speaker: Fred McMullen, Warning Coordination Meteorologist, National Weather Service Pittsburgh
Fred has been in the National Weather Service for 23 years. Fred started his career at the Weather Forecast office in North Platte, NE in 1998. This was a marked change from where he grew up in western Pennsylvania. He then moved to the Forecast Office in Charleston, WV. After Charleston, Fred worked at the regional headquarters just outside New York City where he was the program leader for Aviation and Severe Weather. He transferred back to his hometown of Pittsburgh as Warning Coordination Meteorologist in the fall of 2010.
Fred holds a B.S. in Meteorology from Penn State University and a M.S in Information Systems from Marshall University.
Meeting Registration & Connection Info: Meeting will be conducted via Zoom and all attendees are asked to register through the Tuscarawas County Chamber website, which will collect payment by credit card (invoicing option available if necessary) and provide each registrant the Zoom link to connect to the meeting by email (please check your spam/junk mail folder in case you do not immediately receive). Chamber staff can also assist with registering over the phone if necessary, but each attendee will need an email address to receive the confirmation and meeting link.
With using Zoom, audio can be accessed via computer/Zoom app or phone. No camera will be necessary, but accessing the meeting via computer/Zoom app will provide any presentation slides from our presenters. Please note this meeting will be recorded for playback by registered attendees.
