Erik Frederickson is the founder and lead coach of Recovering Reality, a life coaching and recovery coaching practice that is built on the conviction that lasting change comes from Christ at the center, not from willpower or self improvement. With more than 17 years of walking in freedom from addiction and 12 years of coaching experience and over 7,000 hours of one-on-one private coaching, he has walked with people through the places where change feels impossible and pointed them to real freedom. .

Erik is a bestselling author, a speaker, and the host of The Recovering Reality Podcast, with more than 200 episodes. He also works with local politicians, churches, and non profits helping people and organizations step into more of their mission. He and his wife Mayana lead Recovering Reality together, with Mayana heading up the women's coaching arm. They live in New Philadelphia, where they homeschool their three sons.
